- Overlook Stables is located just off interstate #64 six miles from Owingsville, KY on route #36. The Stables are owned and operated by Vernon & Joyce Stamper. Both Vernon and Joyce have been involved in the mountain horses from the ground up. Vernon being born and raised in Eastern KY has had mountain horses in his family for over 100 years.
- Besides the international Champions shown above many other winning horses have been trained by Vernon such as Tiajuana Taxi, Power Stroke, L.A. Bud, Ellie's Eli, K's Hill Bit-O-Honey, Toby's Chocolate E Claire, and Gabriel to name a few.
- Their latest International Champion was Lawson T Moses 2001 Joyce aboard.

- Not only does Overlook produce winners in the show ring they also have many fine pleasure and trail horses for the beginner rider.
- We also have two very talented young amatuer riders Ashley and Heather Leslie. We are proud to present our two new Juvenile riders for the 2004 show season 7 year old Curren Shrout aboard "Holiday Morning Star" and Heather Kettenring featuring "Desparado".
